The mystery to me is why anyone would pay £3 for a completely unknown product! OK you might get some 2021 Nelson Sauvin, but the odds are you'll get something older and much less exciting!

Happy with my lucky dip selections.
For anyone interested, to go with the New Zealand hops as above
I got a couple of interesting US varieties I've not tried before
Strata ( 21 harvest, best before Aug 26 ) and Meridian ( 19 harvest, best before Dec 24 )

Also in my order were Bohemian Pilsener, Vienna and Light Munich malts, Lalbrew Diamond and MJ54.

From a little reading both would work well with my next couple of planned brews, a New Zealand Pilsener and a California Common so some judicious choices from my Malt Miller picker.

Black Friday lucky dip hop selection, £3 a go.
Going to try a few and see what I get, might encourage me to brew something a bit different from my usual.

I purchased one of these for five hops in January. Got IH033, CF184 and 185, Strata and Meridian.

Bought two single mysteries this week. Got IH033 and CF184. Emailed them about just how random this was. Was told "advertised as a selection of hops that are chosen at our discretion.". Website says "Where we will select a 100g packet of hops at random from our vast range available. No requests for any particular variety or type of hop can be made as this totally at the discretion of The Malt Miller staff picking your order." Second bit sort of contradicts first no?

The Homebrew Company has quite a few hop varieties from the 2022 crop in the £2.75 to £3.50 range. Other sellers have similar too. Maltmiller has got very expensive. Great service and quality but not cheap.
