making second all grain on sunday

My wife would like to have a go at making a brew on sunday. Ill be supervising of course. The recepie is as follows.......

7lb lager malt
12 oz wheat malt
1 and a half oz hallertau
2 oz saaz..... and all the usual bits

Hope it turns out ok its a 3 stage temp mash 3 different temperatures in 90 mins quite a hard one for a first timer :drink: :whistle: :mrgreen:
 
:hmm: Don't know whether to congratulate you on having a cracking wife..........


.............or be worried that she may take over your equipment ;)

Single Infusion mash at 64C for 90 minutes . . . with that malt bill there is no need for a temp stepped mash.

Don't put her off . . . KISS
 
dont forget it was traditonaly the women of the house that did the brewing of beer,
and you can concentrate on drinking and refinining the brews ,

Ok thanks for the info i might change things around a bit though. Still all the recepies are about the same weight of malt :D
