Hey, can you tell me how it turned out? Mine tastes bad tbh. Vinegary, or sort of like a lager.

I've recently completed a Magnum Pear Cider.
It tasted rank at the end of fermentation, even after adding the Flavour booster sachet.
Once the bottle is primed with sugar & left for around 5 days, the taste was pretty damn good!
The fact you are using a keg is likely why you think it still tastes odd, but it will take longer in a keg to secondary ferment than if you'd bottled it.

So don't be put off by the early results!

I tried one of these a couple of months ago and I was very impressed. I barreled it just before I went on holiday and I came back with some duty free so it spent three weeks conditioning before I touched it. Very moreish slightly sweet pale brew of 5-6% alcohol. More delicate and flavorsome than ordinary kit Apple Cider which i brew a lot of. I will use it again when I can find a supplier near Leicester!

Oh i forgot, I lost the pear flavour sachet so it was without this enhancement. No hint of vinegar or over yeastyness.

I have not tried the turbo cyder made with pure apple juice as i think it would be more effort and the overall price is very close to a kit (which has yeast and nutrient supplied). Does anyone know if the difference in taste etc. is worth the extra inconvenience?
