Been wondering about this for a while, so putting it out there for opinion.

I'm quite conservative when late hopping beers and often end up with beers less hoppy than I'd like, in terms of flavour not bitterness. Too late to do anything once they're bottled and you're drinking them,

Could I make up a strong hop tea, put it in a jug in the fridge then use it like a cordial with beer, a bit in the bottom of a glass with the bottle of beer poured on top to mix it in. Would weaken the beer a bit but could add a load of flavour - anyone tried it? Tempted to give it a go.

What about putting a few drops of hop oil in the glass with a pipette?

I made some hop tea ice cubes when my first Ag brew lacked a bit in the flavour department.
Apart from making the beer cloudy they worked really well and added a decent hop hit.:thumb:

I think it would work too. Normally when you add hop tea, it's at the bottling stage, so your just waiting for carbonation and conditioning to happen. The hop tea is just sitting their in the beer waiting for you to drink the beer, so I dont thing adding it as late as when you actually pour the beer will make much difference flavour-wise

I don't think this idea will work, I tried the Brewferm Hop oils and for me it is nowhere near fresh hops, gives it a chemical taste imo.
I think the hops have to be added to the beer and time given for it to infuse and complement the malt etc.
I may of course be talking absolute crap but I would never buy the oil again

Saw these the other day, not found anywhere in the UK as yet. Interesting idea tho. https://gomadhops.com/shop/

Just watched CraigTube last night and he was given these by way of donation and they look quite interesting.
