I'd been browsing the web looking for a (extra) low watt density electric element as I'm sick of cleaning the ones i've got, will be increasing my brew length and haven't yet decided to go gas.

Cheers, but I still have questions. Are all the backer elements considered low density? Or do you have to get a specific one? Any other styles to look out for? I've found this:

[sciencey bit] The new cheapy kettle elements are probably the worst for this TBH . . . much more so that the exorbitant Backer Kettle Elements :lol:
