I'd been browsing the web looking for a (extra) low watt density electric element as I'm sick of cleaning the ones i've got, will be increasing my brew length and haven't yet decided to go gas.

I remembered here and what do you know, first page in this section:

Kettle elements have a fairly high watt density though, in in a standard test it has been shown that same wort split three ways and boiled with kettle elements ,Burco type or Immersion Elements (of the same or similar power) is darkest in the kettle element boiler, then The Burco and finally the Immersion Element boiler. [sciencey bit] The new cheapy kettle elements are probably the worst for this TBH . . . much more so that the exorbitant Backer Kettle Elements

Cheers, but I still have questions. Are all the backer elements considered low density? Or do you have to get a specific one? Any other styles to look out for? I've found this:

From here, but that's stateside.

Somebody uses Low watt density? Is it really that bad, meaning scorching, with kettle elements in boiler?

I am doing 30l batches, now using gas, building HERMS.. I have standart kettle element 2kW for HLT and herms unit, but now choosing element for boiler. I found 3,5kW UltraLowWattDensity on amazon.. but do I really need so powerfull? and is it really good value for money?

thanks

If you've got s/s and they're inductable you could consider induction heaters.
I use them for my HLT and boiler.
