A few hundred brewdays down and you won't feel the same!

Still love it though.

Starting off cleaning casks and all that jazz then learn how to brew their house ale then slowly grow. Filling casks today. The smell makes it all worth it to be honest i love it when malt goes into the mash tun

QC?

Pipes blow... Err?

Even if I knew what the hell had happened there may I suggest that you don't repeat that stuff in public without permission of the brewery involved.

I had that once. Ended up in A&E. Never happened since as we learnt from it. That should *not* be a normal occurance. If it is then there's something wrong.

Never assume that someone else has done their job and checked it. Always double check.

Because this was a hose with 80degC water. Luckily it wasn't one with boiling wort.

I'll say again. I recommend you keep details of what happened at the brewery to yourself lest it do some commercial harm. It wouldn't be that hard to find out what brewery it is.

When helping a mate with his 2.5bbl kit, the best smells for me are when sparging, first hops going in and after a coupe of days fermenting skimming the yeast off the top of the FV.

The smells get into your brain and lives with you for days. Its as adictive as the smell of a freshly baked loaf or a massive smoked bacon buttie
