Hey all - brewday one for me a few days ago and there is a lot of hops still in the beer in the primary fermenter, floating on the top above the beer (due to ***** here not properly straining them out during brewday). Would you guys advise leaving them in (there is quite a lot) until it comes to racking/conditioning? My understanding is it's not the end of the world as I can strain them off before I transfer to bottles and if it doesn't add anything to the process neither will it hurt. Or should I try to at least remove some asap (I'm a little concerned it's hindering fermentation)? Yes, its unlikely to be my finest brew anyway but its all a learning process and my feeling is despite this the end result could still be palatable. Any thoughts?

Leaving them in will be fine, it shouldn’t alter fermentation and at fermentation temperatures I’d be surprised if you found much of a difference in terms of flavour. It’s possible you might get some grassy notes but nothing that’s going to ruin your beer.
