I am unfortunately leaving the country so some of my equipment needs to find a good home! Shipping or pick up from London (live in Hammersmith and work in Leicester Square). Will do a package deal if anyone is keen on everything. Get in touch!

Small Cooper Immersion Cooler:
Ideal size for 5 litre/1 gallon batches but possible to use for larger batches.
I used this as an ‘inline’ tap water cooler to reduce the temp of my ground water by sitting this in a bucket of ice water to reduce the temp of the water going through my main Immersion coil. This allowed me to cool to lager fermentation temps in the middle of summer.

Surely your move doesn't necessitate giving up brewing. It looks like good stuff, why not take it. If I was a bit closer I'd be interested in your mash tun at the very least. It looks big enough to pack some of your stuff in!

I certainly won't be giving up brewing! Unfortunately I am heading home and home is New Zealand so quite a distance and expensive to ship. I will build a bigger and better system once I'm home!

I occasionally browse the Aussie Home Brewer forum. Believe, me, they speak a different language when it comes to beer and do some things so differently it;s sometimes difficult to grasp what they're on about. I wonder if it's the same in N.Z.

How did you put this in the boiler? Surely it will just sit on the element which you don't want.

I assume you bought it as it was described above and if you had known it was just a frying pan lid you wouldn't have therefore this is false advertising, my finger is on the thread delete button your response will seal its fate.

It does fit in the boiler I checked. Actually looks exactly what geb sell as a peco false bottom so will give benefit of the doubt there.

I have cleaned it and it looks A bit better. More gutted that I actually have one in the cupboard that doesn't get used.

First all apologies for the late reply. I've had a rather crazy last week organising a big shipment of belongings back to New Zealand.

I purchased the item as a 'False Bottom' specifically for the Peco boiler. I can't remember the website I used. I'm not aware of any Ikea parts that are used for a similar job. A photo was included and I hope that would be enough to confirm what was being purchased. I believe the item is Stainless so it can't rust? The slight browning had come from a few years worth of brews.

Regardless of all of the above, I genuinely don't want anyone to feel unhappy about the purchase. Let me know if you'd like a refund of the item and we can then go halves on the shipping. Is that fair?

I have to say it is disappointing to see all of the above comments made publicly. I know if I wasn't happy about something I would get in contact with the seller personally and not in a public space. A private message or call/text message (I listed my number above) would have been ideal. In that instance I could have worked something out ASAP.

No worries. I should have looked at the picture better.
It certainly is the same as what is sold in Ikea but it worked so does the job.
You are right I should have sent a private message but I couldn't send a pm in the first place so didn't think it had been fixed and haven't been following to thread to see your number. Good luck with the move back home

I have used it and it worked a treat. Perhaps I was a bit hasty posting. The annoying thing is I have the same thing sat in the cupboard
