Hi all

I've decided iI'm going to resurrect my corny keg as I am finding it hard to let my bottles condition! I keep dipping in when I shouldn't.

I've got a contact who can get me a co2 and nitro 70/30 canister.

I want to make a low ABV brew for easy drinking that will tied me over so I don't keep drinking my beers young. So I thought I'd get my keg back up and running so I have it available when needed. I'm hoping the low ABV will keep conditioning time to a minimum. I also want to start trying to look after my liver a little more!

I've come up with this.... (the fuggles will be dry hopped). Does this look OK for my purpose? :wha: I'm still a relative newbie when it comes to grains, grain bills and hop additions...

How do you think a cornie keg is going to change that :wha:

Hopefully the low aBV beer will condition quickly so I'll be less tempted to keep drinking the other beers!

I have heard it is harder to brew a low alcohol beer than a higher one. Can't say I have ever tried anything that low.

Ahh, I see your thinking :thumb:

Whenever I need a beer quick I make a Weisse, not to all tastes I know but 2 weeks in the fermenter and a week in a cornie carbing up makes a pretty rapid brew.

With an EBC of 63 it doesn't look much like bitter to me.

Do you have a recipe Keith? :thumb:

50/50 wheat malt to pale/lager/pilsner
Hop it to 15 IBU (variety doesn't really matter as it's just for bittering).
Use a weisse yeast ( I use wlp380)
If you have temp control pitch the yeast at 13 and allow it to rise to 17 degrees.
Once fermented out carb it and drink it.
