I've spotted some packs of hop pellets on eBay, Saaz and Pearl, the seller reckons he's had them in an air tight container in the freezer for three years and that says that some of the vacuum packs are punctured, will they be any good?

No bids yet and postage is £2.50 for a kilo of one and 1.25 kilos of the other.

Are they worth a punt or not?

For now I'll only be using them to dry hop a couple of kit brews I've got planned.

Not worth any money if packs are punctured. And even in sealed vac packs after 3 years they will not have much aroma, hardly any.

Thank you.

I suspected as much, but wanted to be sure before 'missing a bargain'.
