Evening all,

I was planning on brewing a stout on Sunday, but after an early finish today ( very rare on a Friday ) I decided to get a brew on this evening.
Decided as the winter is coming to make a good ol' Stout and bring you guys along for the ride as I go, currently coming today the end of the mash which has been the smoothest of brewdays I've had in ages, let hope the stout is just as smooth.
I'll post the recipe one finished if anybody is interested.
Looks like I've hit a good efficiency so far with the no sparge method.
Mash P.H slightly lower than anticipated, but BrewFather was fairly close in it prediction.

Also, a hydro reading to pretty much backup the refrac, temp for hydro reading currently at 31°c, although not the best quality

Got to say, I'm really happy with this one so far, 72% BHE from a no sparge, well, I'm a litre over at 25L, 1.056 gravity I'm calling it judging by the meniscus.
Sorry if it's been boring at all, but this has been a brew where I have tried something new, i.e lactic ( which I never use ) and CRS and also a no sparge which I haven't done in ages.
All tucked up and ready to go, just got to add the yeast now.

Curious as to why you used both CRS & Lactic Matt?
I ask that but then I always struggle to get my pH down under 5.6 with just CRS, so I'm guessing that maybe the reason.
I'd really prefer to use a bit of acidulated malt but it's one thing CML don't carry atm.

I think you may have chimed in on my post yesterday Rocky, but I could be wrong.
I used lactic also so I didn't push my chloride and sulphate to high, may not have been necessary l, but thought I'd give it a go instead of going all out on CRS as I usually do
