List of fridge internal dimensions

As none of the suppliers/manufacturers seem to quote internal dimensions for their fridges I thought I'd take a trip to Curry's with my tape measure.
Please feel free to post about any other models you have measurements for.

One thing to be aware of is that about half of the under-counter fridges I looked at had an additional refrigeration element under the bottom shelf that you would be unable to remove (you might be able to bend it out of the way if you were desperate). I did not measure any of those ones.

• Dimensions are in mm and are conservative - you may be able to squeeze in a few more mm.
• I ignore the thermostat/light unit and door mouldings as these are aspects it may be possible to modify.
• Width is between the shelf mouldings.

Apologies for any omissions or inaccuracies - the sales staff were getting a bit antsy towards the end.

Notes:
CUL50W20 has an additional ledge at the bottom as well as the compressor bulge.
Hotpoint RLA34 motor bulge only goes just over halfway across the back.

For reference:

• a new-style 19L AEB corny is 210mm diameter x 633mm high
• my 30L buckets are 380mm diameter x 430 high

Bitten the bullet and ordered a couple of the Currys under-counter CUL55W20 ones to go in the garage.

Yes I know I could have got one off gumtree etc, but to be confident on the internal space I'd have had to go for a full-height one and that would have been a lot less convenient due to the layout of the garage. Also two smaller fridges seems to give me more flexibility and might help avoid 'bottlenecks' in my production - at least that's what I'm telling myself... I'll probably fit a couple of serving taps to one.

Whilst it was fun building my DIY chiller cabinet I've got to admit that it just isn't up to the job of cold crashing / lagering. The refrigeration power is fine, it's the heat insulation that's the problem - especially the seal round the door. It'll still be fine for managing fermentations and conditioning bitter though.

The hotpoint RLA series undercounter ones have a cut away compressor lump at the bottom, can easily fir two old style wide kegs in them, I use the two bits of 'half' shelf you get to also store some bottles/cans behind the kegs. It also (just) fits a 30l aluminium keg...

Hotpoint RLA34:
Width 48cm (could be more if you trimmed the shelf supports)
Height 58cm (either side of the roof mounted light)
Depth to 'lump' 27cm - the lump goes just over halfway across the back.
Depth to rear 45cm

This picture is one 'thin' 9l corny and one old school short and fat 19l one. The 9l one could go further back, it's just the tap fouls on the shelf. You could probably fit 3 of the newer thin 19l kegs in.

Added to the list - ta! Sounds like a nice roomy fridge - shame it’s no longer available. Do you have the measurement from the top of the ‘lump’ to the roof pse?

It seems my measurements were correct and you can fit two new-style 19L AEB cornies in there... just!

Just tried, and can fit four cornies in as long as two of them are the newer AEB ones and they go diagonally opposite eachother. Only three fit if one is 23L. Either way, plenty of room above for bottoles or mini kegs too. Shame I am using it as a fermentation fridge, though I can get two fermentors in thankfully.

I have just bought the logic L198CFW20 to build a keezer. The dimensions are 854mm height, 803mm width and 557mm depth.

I cut out some circles of the keg size and you can fit 3 in the freezer part and one just on the shelf above the compressor ( might knock up a bit of a wooden support for the keg on the shelf as it does overhang a bit) Photo below.

I think the keg on the compressor shelf might even fit in without a collar but I intend to build one so that I don't invalidate the warranty or even worse damage the freezer.

I don't have the dimensions to hand, but the Electra BLU106WE comfortably fits a SS Brewtech 7 gallon Brewmaster Bucket with domed lid.

Inkbird probe cable and tube heater cable fit through the drainage hole, and the tube heater sits on the hump.

I've cut mine. It was just plastic and expanding foam. Looks a right mess but makes a lot more room.

Anybody else have an issue with temp control in a larder fridge? Mine 'does the job' but my beer is approx 13 degrees. For me, this is not a major issue but I would like to have more control. 13 degrees is when it's on max coldness, btw. And ice forms in two very specific places so something doesn't seem right.

I only use my 2 fridges for fermentation at ale temperatures currently. What are you using for temperature control ?

During fermentation? Nothing ATM. According to my ispindel, my last brew stayed at a fairly constant 19 degrees throughout.

Without wishing to state the obvious, are you sure it's on maximum coldness and not minimum? I haven't got a clue whether the 5 setting is hot or cold on my fridge. Otherwise you've got some other thermostat interfering or a bust fridge.
