How many of these morphemes are enclitic particles, and how many simply, well, "redundant" like?
Well innit just! You know what I mean.

I particularly dislike the habit some people have of finishing a sentence an octave higher than the start. It makes them sound like they are always asking questions. And like a t**t This habit is often used in conjunction with 'so', 'like', 'literally' and another of my pet hates 'actually'

Or people using big words trying to sound clever....
Manager in work kept saying "pertinent"...
Or that other bollocks using phrases like "break through the glass ceiling","touch base" and the ever sickening "liaise". They need punching in the face!

And another thing...Tannoy Kings...they just can't keep off the bloody thing ..shouting all over the place...trying to sound dead busy and very important..
People stating the obvious...need shooting.
People handing you new spec sheets for products that are wrong...you tell them it's wrong...but they don't know where by as they've cut and pasted it from somewhere else...so off they're sent...like a whipped puppy.

Calm down like Clint a double rant like there mate. Need to take the top off one.

Ours is keen on "moving the company forward" when he wants folk to do weekend overtime. How does "f*** off" sound?

Yeah Gunge ya rite..."moving forward"...what a pretentious pile of horse cack! They need kicking!!
And yes....I'm sampling my fare ..and curry making..10 chilli jalfrezi...

At double time (even time-and-a-half) and a day off in lieu, I'd snap their hands off for it.
Things have changed, it seems.
Innit!

Now that is most of the welsh. When we talk it's like we are singing, like.

Jalfrezi? No wonder there's only ten chillis in it. Get a grip lad and make a proper phaal. Some say you should add ingredients to the chillis to give them a bit of flavour. I reckon a gallon of Stella is good enough, but I'm a bit old school.

............

I hope you're old enough to remember Hilda Baker!

One of my favourites was when Hilda was berating the uniformed Commissionaire at a cinema.

"You think you're an important man don't you," she said, "standing there with omelettes on your shoulders!"

'I'm gonna....' often appears on this forum.
I assume people do it to show they are cool.
Sadly the opposite applies.
How you say things and what you write down are two different things.

"Gonna" is into the future,. For the past they use "shoulda, coulda oughta" ...

... which usually demonstrates the 20:20 hindsight that most of us are gifted with! :laugh8:

Nah, I like the Welsh accent, that's not what I'm talking about. It's that fake, affected, quasi-Austrailian / American inflection at the end of sentences
I know exactly what you mean. Much quicker just to stick "innit" on the end of everything, innit!
