Lightproofing Green Bottles

Hello all,

I recently came across a decent stock of resealable Grolsh bottles with the swing tops. My wife works for a charity, so I got them all for free! Bargain!

Except, most of them are green glass, not brown. I've used them once, and tried wrapping the bottles in brown paper bags to block the UV light. This did not work. I could do the same with tin foil, and I suspect that would work, but I was wondering if anyone else had any better ideas?

I've got a couple of crates of proper pint bottles and some of them are green as they once held perry from Lidl. I've never had a problem with light-struck beer. Just keep them out of the light. I throw an old navy blue bath towel over the crates just in case.

Have hundreds of green bottles and a fair few clear ones... never been an issue with them. Stored in the garage in crates or on shelves.

My bottles maybe clear but the space I keep them in is pitch black. Easy.

I've got a dozen of the 1.5 litre ones hiding at the back of the garage. I must remember to dig them out and use them as they're quite chunky an solid muthers. Anybody else use these? Next best thing to the old screw-in cap flagons in my opinion. I wonder where you can get new seals for them.
They used to be £4 each in Tesco. Bought them for the bottles as I struggle a bit with the contents.
