My kids swear blind that there was an ad on radio x last night for Lidl doing £20 craft beer kits ahead of fathers day. I can find no mention of this online - may be worth keeping an eye out though.

I can't find any reference to a Brewing Kit but I am half hoping that my kids will treat me to Lidl's "Grillchef Mini Kamado Barbecue" ...

... but at £79.99 I just can't see it happening!

Oh god - I've already got anxiety that somebody is going to give me one as a present and I'll have to fake a phwoarrgasm.

I actually had that this year. I had carbonation drops and citric acid in my stocking. CARBONATION DROPS!!! My eye is twitching. I took them back and got campden tablets and two tubs of yeast nutrient.

The horror... the horror... the horror...

I like the look of it. It's like a kit without an FV. I'd deffo give it a go (if Muntons wanted to send me one. Muntons?). Not sure about drinking it straight from the bag though (well, actually, who hasn't drank their gravity sample and thought, MMmm, this tastes nice!). Stick a bottling wand on the tap, bottle it, and it would probably be fine after some conditioning

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd add to this one.
Went to Lidl yesterday and guess what? This amazing homebrew kit contains everything you need including malt extract, hops and even a PET fermenter. You can brew 1.5 litres (yes one and a half, not 15) of dodgy 4.8% lager for a measly €19.99, about £18.
What a bargain. I'll bet they're flying off the shelves. ✈️😂

The belgium beer selection just to the right is much better value!
