Iv got a few ideas for future brews :wha: & one of them is a dark ale with licorice  something like the badgers beer whos name escapes me at the moment (senior moment & at 46 :? ) how do I use this in homebrewing? do I need to resist my favorite Licorice allsorts

IIRC Dave line has a recipe for a licorice stout in TBBOB :hmm:
I'll have a look in the morning and let you know :thumb:

Ok from The big book of brewing by Dave Line
He uses a six inch stick of hard liquorice chopped small and added to the boiler in a 4 gallon batch of stout with an sg of 1.046.
Not sure that's of much help :wha:
