Just heard on the radio this morning that there is going to be a massive barley and wheat shortage next year - they must be planning ahead

I didn't mind when my LHBS charged £1.70 a kilo and I could just drop in and pick up whatever I happened to need, but when that suddenly bumped up to £2.50 I told them they'd lost a customer. That was a couple of years ago, I've no idea what the current going rate is.

£24 for 25kg of Crisp's MO from Rob @ MaltMiller. Great tasting and efficient malt for less than a quid a kilo.

The last time I went to my (not very) local HBS, it was £1.80 for 500g of pale malt. And that was a long-in-the-tooth Youngs pre-bagged thing. No thanks.

This I know buying 25 kilo is cheap but thought for a couple of kilo to bulk up last big order it wouldn't be too bad no postage etc was thinking 5 quid top end but 8!!!! Daft imo.
