Here's to all the disastrous brew or bottle days that just didn't go to plan and tested patience to the limit that resulted in a melt down that might be regretted slightly later in the day. :sulk:

Now I've got to clean up with nothing to show for it :???:

Cheers

Sounds like a real disaster when there is nothing to show for it

I had a mini disaster last weekend. I use a tube of voile to do BIAB with the bottom end tied with string. I decided for some reason to change the way I tied it and of course half-way through squeezing the wort out of it the knot came undone and all the grain fell into the boiler.:wha: Stayed calm, drained the boiler into an FV, poured the grain into a 10 litre bucket, poured the wort back into the boiler, poured the grain back into the bag (having tied the knot in the usual way), and then carried on. All worked out OK in the end. (Doesn't help you though does it ?)

All my own fault. I shouldn't even have started this morning. I had a long travel day yesterday and head not with it. Without going into too much detail my tribulations included a smashed bottle, a rather large mouthful of starsan, a stuck syphon and a sting from a nosey wasp investigating the large puddle of beer on my kitchen floor  All led to several toys beeing ejected from my pram ;-)

My bad brewing days aleays seem to occur on days when I'm tired or pushed for time. And it still happens, even though I know the risk! Itchy to make beer but not really in the right state to do it.

Agreed. Tis the beauty of the art that if the heart is not in the right place then the results are often not to standard...
