Hi

I am planning on 2 ales for christmas. One light and one ruby. I have never been a fan of spiced beer so I am playing it safe.

Just been looking at what I have in the store cupboard, and think this should make a nice light ale.

Looking to make 35L, with an OG 1.048 FG 1.012
IBU 35.2
Overnight mash at 66.
Batch sparge
60minute boil

6.2kg of maris otter
1.35kg Munich
100g of Terrified wheat

Pacific Jade 20g at 60minutes
Fuggles 26g at 20minutes
Irish moss at 15minutes
Pacific Jade 20g at 5minutes
Fuggles 26g at 5minutes

Yeast Safale US 05.

Anythoughts on improving this would be great.

looks good. i'd dry hop a bit with any leftover pacific jade if you have any, that's about it. And don't terrify the wheat too much - you get worse efficiency if they're scared.

Cheers for the responses.

Not much pacific jade left so will have to think about that.

Will me being terrified affect the efficiency? :wha:
