Seems to taste a lot better now after 8 weeks, certainly needs more aroma hops though.

Thanks cheapbrew. Between you and I, I had two kegs of pale to help take away the urge to attack it lol.

Rob, it's Greg hughes' base recipe but I added pearle at flame out. A very successful brew I must say.

I'm just trying to look for the book but the wife has moved it. I can't wake her up so if I don't find it within the next five minutes I'll have to unfriend her on facebook to teach her a lesson.

Ha ha bloody facebook. I'm 25 and I don't bother with that lol. I actually have the Greg Hughes book in transit to me. I purchased a copy off amazon the other day. Looking forward to having something worth reading. What's the flavour comparison to this pint ?

It tastes like an export I'd say rob. The grainy is really efficient so I tend to get more sugars out of the grain. I expected that though. It tastes clean and sharp but not too heavily after hopped which I'm a little disappointed about to be honest. I thought 40g of pearle would have gave me that IPA explosion but hey ho. Why pearle? Well, it's a good multi purpose hop and as I used hellertau miklefrurggghhhh or what ever it's called in both the 60 min and 15/10 min, I thought I'd stick with the German theme.
