Hi guys brewed two batches 8 weeks ago 1 of which I syphoned into another fv to try to reduce sediment (went ok) and another that has not been opened at all. I have not touched them as my 1st batch went down the drain as it tasted horrible and its because of this I lost all faith and interest it would seem.

Anyway the point is will they be ok still to batch prime??

yep it'll be fine. Prime away.

Don't give up if you have a bad result though. Work out what went wrong and learn from it. It's a great hobby if you stick with it and you (usually) get great results :thumb:

Im not too sure where I went wrong I was thinking too much sugar as I used about 500g of lme and 700 ish g of dextrose.

Other than this I would nt know.

Thanks for your reply guys. :thumb:

my first couple of brews were to be honest no better than bath water , but now i brew my favourite style as good as shop bought bottles , keep it up and you will too . Avoid sugar (unless priming) if sugar etc needed use dried malt extract instead (around 1200g of dme = 1000g sugar) , get 2 can kits there is a reason they cost more , you can add/improve flavour by steeping grains (speciality grains soaked for 30 mins at around 68c like crystal malt etc ) Get some good quality yeast , most kit yeast aren't as good and using good yeast will improve your beer. And after all that you could move on to extract brewing which will improve your beer many times .
