I thought I could get away without racking or allowing my first cider kit to settle, since I got excited at the idea of home brew cider and just wanted things to get done quick.

Fair to say, my bowels are paying the price for ingesting so much of what a friend described "liquid bread" at a party a couple of days ago.

Lesson learned - listen to the advice from the experts on here and be patient :nono:

I will refrain from....we told you so.....

you got to learn patience I'm afraid, and when you look back a few weeks ain't that long to wait.

Heehee  when I first started brewing I made the mistake of not knowing about this forum, and listening to the kit instructions which basically said it was drinkable after two weeks in the bottle. Add I'd added a fair bit of sugar to make it strong.

One party + some friends + 30-odd pints of young cider = sick, sick people the next morning.

Did you bottle straight from primary FV, or did you just drink it out of the FV? :nono: :)

It happens!! Spent a good while on the throne last night cos I took a few to many cheek mouthfulls whilst racking my cider. If it ain't ready, don't drink it

It always amuses me when non-real-ale drinking friends take a shine to my beers...

...if you ain't used to the yeast you're going to be sitting down for a fair part of the following day!!
