Not a fan of any of these myself but only had bottles.

The delisted beers are:

• Banks's Mild
• Banks's Sunbeam
• Bombardier
• Eagle IPA
• Jennings Cumberland Ale
• Mansfield Dark Smooth
• Mansfield Original Bitter
• Marston's Old Empire
• Marston's 61 Deep
• Ringwood Boondoggle
• Ringwood Old Thumper

I've never been keen on Banks. Jennings Cumberland is lovely. I can't I've had Mansfield (my dad used to drink it back in the 80s/90s). Boondoggle is a decent pint, sad to see that go (same for Thumper).

History repeating itself.
In the 90s Carlsberg Tetley bought Wrexham Lager...to shut it.
Wrexham Lager was sold for £1 after it closed..or the name was.
In recent years it was restarted and is now expanding massively.
It has just been bought by Ryan Renolds (Deadpool) and his mate,who consequently own Wrexham FC.
There's rumours of massive expansion as the plan looks to promote the brand in America and worldwide...great for the brand,Wrexham and hopefully some quality jobs for the area.
Ryan and his mates are business men. Let's hope when the brand is global...they don't sell it to the highest bidding,crap beer producing company that will pale it into insignificance and make it disappear...again.

Was Harp lager brewed in the Wrexham Brewery as I seem to remember seeing it on a sign as my mum and I passed it on the bus to Cefn.

Hmmm...dunno,I'll ask the father in law. Double Diamond,Lowenbrau,Skol,Castlemaine XXXX, were I think...I certainly had plenty of each from there!
There was trials I believe to brew Budweiser (American not Czech)but although it was spot on it never happened. Things may have been different if they had.

Carlsberg, now with biggest share in UK draught beer,have got a lot to answer for. Out with consumer choice and tradition, in with accountants and profits. They've already closed the old Banks's brewery in Wolverhampton.

Agree, Jennings Cumberland Ale, was always worth a pint or two. And is one, of the many, on my to do list.
I'd always risk a test grass of any Marstons, I found on draught while travelling (as not normally available locally). Though that was many years ago, so could be different now.

Banks's (Amber) bitter (not on the list), is one of my preferrered UK bottled beers, even though a fairly low ABV.

Harp was a Guinness lager, I doubt it got brewed in Wrexham?

It originated with Guinness, but they developed a consortium to brew it in the UK, using Courage's purpose-built Alton brewery for the south and S&N's Moss Side brewery in Manchester for the north, but they also eg used Courage's London brewery for a while before Alton was ready.
