I've read on forums that I should store lager (currently in primary) down to around 4C for 6 weeks or more, once the primary fermentation is over, before priming and bottling. I've got some currently on the go in the FV with Maurivin 497 lager yeast, which (according to their own information here) should be kept between 10-15C for primary. [I've had it between 10-13C and it's down to 1.018 from 1.045 in 13 days.]

Their own info sheet then says "Final gravity loss may be achieved by lagering down to 10C."

From what I've read, 10C sounds high for 'lagering', but it seems to be what they are suggesting. It's the same temperature as the lower end of what they suggest for primary.

Is this really how high I should 'lager' it with this yeast, when it's finished in another week or so, or should I go lower?

MauriBrew descriptions and instructions are wrong in many places, I learned to use rather common sense. Indeed, 10c is too warm. This should be just above freezing point.
