I'm going to be making an all grain lager next week.
I don't have a corny free, but I do have a free king keg.

Would there be any problems with letting the beer sit in the plastic keg for an extended period of time?
I've heard tales of plastic being permeable to oxygen.

I'll be lagering in plastic myself . . . and its a lot thinner than that on a king keg.

Yes plastic is permeable to oxygen . . . so is glass . . . but the rate is so low that it is unimportant. . . . what is more of a concern is the oxygen in the keg as you fill it. My practice is to fill it with CO2 . . .So Lid on and give it a 1 second burst. . . . leave it an hour then release the pressure . . . Another 1 Second Burst, leave an hour then release pressure . . . repeat again one last time.

Fill the king keg, and then repeat the exercise . . . then put it away for a long time.
