Quick question about yeast we want to make a lager or pilsner at the weekend, has anyone not used lager yeast to brew a lager could anyone give me a few ideas based on their own brews?

Mark, do you mean you want to use an ale yeast to brew a lager? If so, how about the cali common yeast, an Alt yeast, or a Kolsch yeast.

I can recommend WLP810 San Francisco Lager yeast, nice clean taste, ferments at 14-18C, I've had attenuation of 77-81%, and it sticks to the bottom of the bottle :thumb:
