hi guys ,
ive started a german lager and it will finish fermenting at the weekend,
can it sit in the fv afterwards,or does it need bottling asap.....?

i may have an issue with the number of bottles required... :?

thnax for the rapid reply, that makes sense....

i rack my wines from the 5 gallon fv into another then leave to stand for a few weeks b4 bottling...

im going to put some of the lager, into 2 litre pet bottles with a shot of sugar any idea how much i will need per litre..?

If it finishes fermenting at the weekend you should probably be leaving it in the FV at least until the middle of next week, then do what Cussword said.

Priming is usually half a teaspoonful per pint / 500ml for ale, rising to 1 tsp for lager, so 1.5 - 2 tsps per litre.
