Hi all this is the first time I have used Kwik Clear and I put the measured amount into my bramble wine which seemed to be taking a long time to clear, I put it in yesterday and checked the wine tonight and it looks as if it has worked.
The only thing there seems to be a some sort of sediment floating on the top of the wine any ideas what it is and should it be there.

Should I leave it the recommended 72Hrs and after that siphon the wine into a clean demijohn

I use KwiK clear most of the time and it clears my stuff in 24 - 48 hours, if its crystal clear i wouldn't wait any longer, as for the floaters i think you'll have to posts a picture otherwise it will be guess work from anyone answering.

guessing floaters shouldn't be that much of an issue if you're bottling using a racking cane anyways, will miss that out

Bramble can take ages to clear, Floaty bits can usually be skimmed off, or seived out, sometimes if left they settle over a few days. I would leave it a few days to see and then rack, passing through a fine muslin cloth.

Thanks for the info, I checked the bramble wine this afternoon and you were correct the floaty bit had sunk to the bottom of the demijohns I've racked the 3 gallon into an fv and topped them up with boiled water. Now ready to store in loft for 6 months then sample hopefully it should turn out ok thanks for the help

An uninsulated loft is a bad place to store wine due to wide temperature fluctuations. Bramble wine loses colour with prolonged exposure to light, so keep it dark.

My loft is well insulated and dark so don't think I should have a problem thanks
