kit with AG enhancer instead of sugar

instead of adding/buying beer enhancer at nearly £5 im gonna do 1.3 kilos of malt mashed, brewed and boiled and then im gonna add to the kit (present for sorting out a pc for a mate), i cant see why it wouldnt be ok, anyone any ideas?

1.3 kilos working on the idea that roughly 75-80% efficency would give me about 1 kilo of sugar content which needs to be added to the kit.

why not add hops while boiling the wort then cool it and throw some yeast in and forget the kit

normally do, but since its a present i said i will do it, its a stout kit and with the ag enhancer i think it will be turn out very drinkable, i used to do kits and have done stouts with shop bought beer enhancer and it was a good pint after being in the bottle for around 2 months.

ok it should in theory be ok using the dme. Some people on here do it alot and it does make the beer better :thumb:
