Well it was totally clear, and crisp, after a few days in the fridge it has clouded and refuses to clear, this is my first brew, - is this normal, and will it clear?

Sounds like it could be chill haze, a good test it take a hazy bottle out of the fridge and leave it on the side to come up to room temp, if it's a chill haze it will clear.

It may not completely clear, some hazes are permanent, I've had a period of brewing like that!

You just made me want a whisky............

Your fault not mine, remember that!

It's either

Caol Illa or Glenlivet (15yo) French Oak Reserve

Lagavulin or Jura... as much as I like caol Illa, it doesnt hold a torch....

If you havent been to Islay and Jura, you really should. Magic little islands of malt...

And after all, what is whisky but concentrated beer?

edit - actually, theres a pretty good brewery there too..........

Whisky is distilled unhopped beer, not concentrated... it's separated. Macallan 10yo is my more regular one, or Balvenie doublewood. Had a pricey bottle of cask strength lagavulin a few years ago of which I wish I'd bought a few more! It was epic.

Chill haze is tasteless.
