Any more feedback for the party taps? I notice BKT have a party tap set up on offer with a Pluto gun for less than the price of the gun on its own! Are these good?

Have a pluto gun and nukamini w/ FC disconnect.
Pluto gun works okay if your carbonation is correct as was said earlier about the party tap.
Very very convenient though. I considered getting the aluminium one too as well as my nylon one

you either need flow control or you need a picnic tap 2.1 or you need several feet of 5mm ID line. the line works the easiest IMO

My kit had been delivered, less than 24 hours of being ordered!
All present and correct...
3 x 20l oxebar
Regulator
Spare gas line
A couple of gas push fit thingies
Check valve
A splitter
Two party tap kits
....and a parsnip in a pear tree!
Bought my 6kg bottle of c02 last night, coz they definitely would have sold out if I had waited!
Beer is bubbling away nicely. So all set to go!
I've probably asked...do I need to trim the dip tube?

yes you need to trim the tube. i think they recommend trimming it so the ball just reaches the bottom as closest as possible without touching the bottom. its a pain cause you have to sort of eye the top of it. i found theres no great way of doing it.

it comes with a lot of extra diptube (like a foot or so)

.

Job for the day off. The kegs are guarding the fvs in the garage for the meantime.

the kegs are the fv's clint .

its got a floating dip tube.
they make great uni's (ferment and serve)

i figured this out while spunding one in the ferm chamber. i spunded it to a few volumes then cold crashed and was sampling with a picnic tap 2.1 when i realized why transfer if i can just drink out of it.

i havent gone back since.

Kegging today. Everything in oxi wash ready for sanitiser. I've fitted the reg to the gas bottle...the plastic seal seems to butt seal on the rim of the reg screw fitting. It's cranked on and seems to be holding pressure. Gas line cut and check valve put inline to protect reg. One thing I've noticed is the Oxebar keg isn't sitting completely square in the black plastic bottom chine support, it won't budge but I don't suppose it'll affect its use...hopefully!

I've seen some videos where the sanitised keg is given some c02 before filling then vented so there's some in while you fill,as it's heavy and sits in the keg...is thus worth doing or should I fill, give it a blast then vent?

Hi clint party taps are great kit i have 2, i use one for holidays when i take 10L corny or 2 and soda stream, make sure the check valve is fitted right way round blue end nearest the reg, have fun

My check is an all black version...I put it with the arrow in the gas flow direction. When putting the gas on there is a temporary noise coming from the check valve. I've sprayed it with sanitiser and doesn't appear to be leaking. If I increase the pressure it makes the noise or vent the keg as the pressure kicks back in. Is it normal?

Mine have an arrow which faces towards the keg, if it's the wrong way nothing will happen

Yeah, this has and the keg is pressurised. Just wondering about the temporary "parp" noise through the check valve if I increase the pressure. It's quiet now and sitting at 10psi. I've cut new ends on all the pipes with my new line cutter and made sure they're all pushed home properly and sprayed the joins to look for leaks. All seems OK.
