i saw a youtube video were the ale was kegged & gassed straight away with no priming suger & said to be ready to drink as anyone tried this,he used a steel keg ,i only have the plastic type, but skipping 3 weeks 2nd ferment would help me keep up my supply no end

I do it anyway regardless of priming sugar. Gas it, open the lid, repeat, and it'll purge oxygen out, igiving you less chance of oxygenated beer.

But yeah, you will need to gas it and leave it in the cool for the best part of a week, you may find yourself doing it regularly but it works fine with plastic kegs. To be honest as long as you keep it in the cool and gas after pouring a pint (not before) then I doubt you will struggle at all.
