Hello all
As some of you know I've bought some 20l oxebar kegs coz I'm a bit tired of bottling!
Anyway...I've got 3 beers brewing,Tribute, house apa Pipster Pale and brewed today,a dry stout.
The Tribute will be ready for kegging Sunday/Monday but likely Tuesday. The pale a few days later.
My plans are to drink at Christmas.
Now,I need a carbonation plan/instructions to get them full of fizz and ready to go! The oxebar may fit in the brew fridge if I take the fv shelf out and I can get a gas line round the door...I think! The option is to carbonate in my cold garage.
Any advice please...and also..what do you do to carb your kegs?
I have a c02 bottle,regulator,fittings etc.
Thanks!

A search will find you some tables that tell you what psi to carbonate at for a given temperature and % of dissolved CO2.
So determine the carbonation required for the style of beer and the temperature you want to serve it at then set your CO2 regulator at the given pressure and you fridge at the desired temp and wait for a week or two.

i have never used those tables. i put my beer on gas put it up to 15 psi or so. fridge at about 4 degrees c after about 2 days lower it to 6 then forget about it for a week or so and then enjoy.

it has been working well for me.

you will love kegging

So I'll have 2 beers ready for gas within a few days of each other. I'm thinking of carbonation these at the same time,I got a line splitter. Once they're carbed are they OK to be disconnected from the gas for when I want to carb the third beer?

I leave mine connected all the time but some people disconnect. You'll have to temporarily reconnect the gas when you pour a beer. You need to replace the volume of beer with CO2 otherwise it will come out of solution in the beer and your beer will become flat over time

This my set up the white bit on the gas line is a check valve to stop beer getting in the reg, i also use a splitter to carb two kegs at the same time
