I have a tall fridge with 4 Cornies in and want to add taps onto the front of the door.

If the pipes to the taps are all inside the fridge, and I keep the fridge quite cold (5 deg C) then can I leave the taps connected and the beer in the pipes won't end up getting infected and ruin the beer in the Cornie? This is obviously a very convenient way of getting at the beer.

Or is it better to disconnect pipes from Cornies when not in use, wash, and reconnect when you want to drink beer. I rarely drink beer during the week (but try an make up for that at the weekends).

I have a larder fridge with 2 cornies in it. I have two taps on the door with all the pipework inside the fridge. i don't disconnect mine at all and have not had any problems. The only thing i do is take the removable spout off the tap and rinse it after use as it holds a little beer in there and that would go a bit manky over time.
