Hello everyone! I am a thirty year old from sandbach who is going to have a go at my first kit brew kit in the next few weeks. I am getting a pressurized keg for xmas and a fermenting vat. I had a look on here last night and it was interesting to see that you can even modify kits by adding hops. However I thing that reading this I will start by following a Wherry ale 2 can kit's instructions, so I have something to compare future brews to. Te one question I have is do I need one of those CO2 bulb caps? My keg doesn't have one at the moment. Also is it possible to just put one on if I hear the tap starting to 'glug' or do you have to do it immediatley after kegging?
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum

If you are using a standard pressure barrel I don't believe there is any need to add co2 straight away but I have never used one before.

With the kit instructions, double the times they say, they are overly optimistic :thumb:

I've always been able to rescue the brew in a PB if for some reason air has entered it , just make sure you put plenty of CO2 back in it when the tap & cap are securely in place.
