Just Bottled 40 Pints

Just bottled 40 pints, first time since I invested some wonga into Norm's cornies last year.... But hey, I'd forgotten how therapeutic and relaxing it is to sterilise, rinse, prime, fill and cap 40 bottles. :party:

I have 25L of IPA sat in a FV looking at me at the moment, thats all got to be bottled tomorrow.

I hate bottling with a passion

Will be glad when it's all done, should look good as well managed to save identical bottles up for this batch

I've used some of the new newky brown beer bottles, they don't look to be as Strong now they're brewed by another brewery, wonder if they'll be O.K??

I've also boxed them up with being clear glass, got some tidy little boxes from work that are exactly the size to fit in 12 bottles

I've noticed that lots of breweries are switching to the lightweight clear bottles now, which is a shame.

I'm sure they'll be fine, at least if you do have a problem they are in a box :thumb:

Time to hoard the nice heavy brown bottles I think, I have 2 buddies who save theirs for me, in exchange they get to be my chief tasters :grin:

I've got my eye on the local brown bottle bank, looked the other day and there was loads of Bulmers and Magners bottles, going back monday with a piece of cane to pick them out. :party:

i got 30 magners bottles from my local pub last night :party:

got enough to do a 5 gal batch now as all 6 of my cornies still have beer/cider in them.

i love bottling... at the end, i think standing back and seeing the fruits of my labour all lined up on the counter is more rewarding.

I had about 60 bottles I'd saved up, ended up chucking them when my gf started moaning about them all the time, I'll just get some more kegs...

thrown away!!!, my missus didnt say anything when i moved all of my bottle out of the shed into the spare room(full ones), the empttys are still in the shed!! after all its for her benefit as well!!!!

after all i am the boss!!!! LOL

My own fault really, we've got two cupboards under the stairs and one half way up he stairs full of junk, if I sorted them out I'd have plenty of room for bottle storage space.
