Is it possible? Is it crazy? Let's see!

I have a John Bull IPA kit, which lists the only hops as "hop extract." to me, that indicates a blank canvas. It's bittered pale ale with no defining characteristics.

Motueka are somewhat similar to Saaz, the Motueka variety being a defining characteristic of their ale. So here's the plan...

Brew up a John Bull IPA with Saaz and Cascade hops. US-05 yeast for a nice clean dryness, and loads of the selected hops added in aroma and dry hop stages.

Brewday to come... ;)

That was the idea with the chinooked Better Brew IPA, to get somewhere towards that American style citrus thang that brewdog have got going on.

Far more subtle, but a total result!!!

having had a punk ipa, dead pony club and trashy blonde tonight you will need to hop the **** out the kit so you can't even taste it no more, hop the **** out of the **** you've just hopped, then add more dry hops, and you still won't be near it! absolute awesome beers, the dead pony club is one of the best beers ive had, only 3.8% dunno how these guys do it, its heaven in a bottle.
