Was it any good?

Does anyone have a Oakham JHB Recipe.

Just had a fancy on.
Not a recipe, but a look at their "brewsheet" shows it;s much the same formuation as BF and Citra, but different hops.
Using low polyphenol malt (Clear choice) is a mixed blessing as it aids clarity and reduces "coarseness" of flavour (allegedly) at the expense of antioxident properties. Personally, I wouldn't bother.

Roger Protz in RAA eds 4,5
OG 1038; 95% Maris Otter; 5% wheat malt; Challenger, late hops- Mount Hood; IBU33.
Marc Ollosson, Real Ales for the Home Brewer, concurs, but he's probably just copying Protz.

I don't think you need much more than the Peterborough water profile.

That's a smasher. I have some protz in the towering heep.... And can prolly sort the water too.

Cheers
Be careful with the water, adjust to a decent water for brewing. I remember an old thread where Strange Steve mentions Peterborough has terrible water for brewing so you can bet the brewery adjusts their local water.
