I'm not looking for "fizzy" as such all I want as I said before is the same fizz as I get with a shop bought beer like bombardier, at the moment I get nothing at all no head no fizz on opening it's just like coloured water but tastier. I know ales should be smooth rather than gassy but they should still have a bit of life in them, right? I'm gonna stick to bottles for now but I just want to figure out where I'm going wrong because if they keep turning out like this I'd rather jack it in and buy beer instead.
 
i would use around 200g of pale wheat malt in the mash and prime a 23l batch with 100/120g of sugar for same fizzy as a bottle bombardier.
