Hello all, like quite a few, I’m back wine making after some 30 odd years. Trouble is, it seems like yesterday and I don’t know where the years have gone!
This looks a wonderful site with many good ideas and I hope to get a bit of advice too.
Started again as my daughters partner gave me a wilko 6 bottle kit. Can’t say it’s very good tbh, but have moved on to Wineworks kit.
Must say that the WoW thread looks very interesting. Having a go at one now.

Hi Mr Tea. Thanks for the welcome.
I thought that I’d be doing the country like I did years ago, but can’t wait that long, so trying the kits which seem a lot better these days.
1st after the wilko one, was a superior seven 30 merlot. Made a few mistakes but v drinkable. Now got 30 bottle wine expert world vineyard pino grigio and Wineworks 30 bottle superior riocha on go. Also 2 DJ mead and now 1 wow. Saving me a fortune too. will be having a go at the elderflower and elderberry too, maybe a parsnip as well.
Really been bit again....

Be sure to give a few Wow's a go, everyone has a different view point and favourite recipe on them but a basic Rose is as good a place to start with them as any, 2l of red grape juice is enough to get you something light and drinkable in 3 weeks.

I have 2 Litre Asda red grape juice and 1 of Asda apple. All 100% . The apple said it had ascorbic acid in. Hope this doesn’t matter.
Also put in 500 gram sugar but missed pectin enzyme and tea bags. Fingers crossed. Went like hell on day 2 as others have said.

Give 1 litre red grape juice and 1.5 litre apple juice a try (600g sugar)

Rather old thread revival but here goes......

Can you remember how much grape concentrate was included in the superior seven kit? I've only just noticed them on one of the online stores, sound interesting if they include extra stuff and for the price they seem good value. Depends on the quantity of juice?
