Is Theakstons Old Pecular a mild or a bitter?

I've just bought some Brewpaks CRS & DLS to make my water treatment simple. I've got my CaCO3 level which is 201.0. The beer I want to make is Theakstons Old Peculiar, do I treat the water as if it's a mild beer because it's dark, or a bitter because that 's the section it's listed in in Graham Wheeler's book.
