I've had my Tom Caxton bitter on the go for about four days now and well I thought there would be this big bubbly head and it would be bubbling out the top onto the kitchen side maybe getting a bit excited but its not doing much its at about 20 degrees according to the thermometer on the side of the fv there's a small head about a inch high and some dark brown ring around the top of it and it looks more cloudy than when I made it am I panicking or has it gone **** up lol any help would be appreciated thanks
 
Sounds better than normal. Sounds just perfect. :thumb:

Now leave it the hell alone for another week! ;)

Its fine :thumb: now leave it alone and get on with planning your next brew :D Some fermenations are more explosive than others, but your discription sums up about 90% of by brews.
Check it in another eight to ten days and once its settled at an OG 1006-1010 for a couple of days it'll be ready.
 
Thanks a lot big help just one more thing once I've bottled the stuff how long is a good time to wait before polishing it off with a few mates
 
Sampling? A couple of weeks, when it's clear.

Actually drinking? I'd give any kit a good month, maybe two. :thumb:

give it a couple of weeks in the warm (secondary) and then a couple in the cold (conditioning) or longer if possible :thumb: .
 
You're probably looking at 1-2 wks in the bottles in the warm, then move to cold area (garage is good) for a minimum of 2 wks. The longer you leave in the cold the better :thumb:

I'm checking out kit reviews on forums ATM and defiantly going to try some turbo cider any recomendations
