Hi all, I,ve had a Fin lager going now for about ten days ,I put 200g extra sugar and 500g extra light malt (hopped) as I put about six pints extra water in by mistake (divvy,I know) , it showed 1050 to start and is now showing 1010.
Tastes hoppy and slightly sweet, its still bubbling away happily (about 12 big bubbles a min.) should I just let it ferment out as low as poss. and if so how long should I then leave it before kegging?
Oh ,and would you fine it ?
Thanks in advance ,Spud. :)

Leave it for a couple of days and then take a reading. If it is still bubbling then it is stil fermenting.

Thing is i,m not up on lager, dont know whether to let it ferment as low as poss. or not.

Could I rack it to a p barrel leave it another couple of weeks, like a secondary , then prime ,would have to rack it again?

And should I fine it before first rack?

Cheers spud.

Oh it seems to have stopped at 1010 by the way (not changed for 4 days ,no bubbles with heater in at 18c.

that would work out about 5.3%, not bad at all, yeah i would go ahead and bottle or keg if its stayed at the same gravity. ive never made a cider kit, is dry malt extract, esp hopped, not only meant for beer?

Its a lager kit Abeyptfc , in my panic to rectify putting too much water in (6 pints), first I chucked in extra suger (250g) but then thought it would lack body so put 250g spray malt in, the next night ,while under the influence I thought it would be a good idea to chuck the rest in ,it clumped up so I though t "give it a good stir" the resulting over flow of lava like foam which wrote the kitchen off tought me a valuable lesson!

ah right, finlandia do cider kits aswell, i assumed it was one of them lol! hope it tuns ok out, u should have saved it by adding the dme
