Morning chaps,

Just mashing 5kg of Marris Otter with 300g of light crystal for a 23l brew. Planning on using S33 yeast.

I need some help with the hop schedule as I dont know where I'm going with this.....

I have

Warrior
Cascade
Green Bullet
Fuggles
Goldings
Nelson Sauvin
Aurora
Pacific Gem (50g only)
Chinook
Columbus

I'd probably like to use Warrior as primary bittering.

Thanks!

I've never tried Warrior, so if you decide to go down that route please let us know how the taste is.

From what you have listed there, I would personally chose chinook to bitter and then use cascade and/or nelson sauvin for flavour/aroma......but I'm in to those at the mosment.
There are a few nice combos you could go for from what you have there :)

Hope you have a good brew :thumb:

Cheers,

Decided to go for a Warrior/Chinook 60/40g combo to bitter and use cascade for flavour and aroma. Should be a bitter one!

Strange thing is the colour. I used light crystal but its definitely an amber wort...... :wha:

So its ended up as

60g Warrior for 90mins
40g Chinook for 90mins
50g Cascade for 30mins
50g Cascade for 15mins

Protofloc in, cooler in, last few mins of the boil! :D

All done. S33 dry pitched and washing up done.

One possible boo-boo.... during the boil I periodically skimmed off the scum from the top thinking it was just trub. Looking at the yellow-green stains on the ladle I had used, I think this might have been hop resin also! Which means I was pouring my lovely hops down the drain and feeling very pleased with myself about it.
