I have almost come to the end of my first keg.

The keg itself is a 'bog-standard' cheap one from Wilkos. I primed with a bit more sugar than normally recommended - 115g of white caster sugar.

After a couple of weeks I noticed a small amount had leaked from the tap so released a very small amount of gas from the top and poured a few pints. Was still a bit green but a few days later was perfect.

Heres the thing - I never once had to top up with gas. Its still under pressure and only has a few pints left below the tap level.

Thought I might share that with you... :thumb:

Thats great, I never normally got my beer to produce co2 like that to the end, I guess i drank it too quick

Nice one :thumb:

Did you rack with a highish FG?
Sugar + yeast = C02, lots of residual sugar, assuming easily converted sugars = slow release C02, especially with slightly green beer.
