Insulating my FV

Evening temperatures have been dipping quite low recently and I didn't want my London Pride clone to get too cold overnight so I decided to insulate my FV.

I am using a 6.5 US gal (about 23L) conical so I decided to make a semi rigid jacket out of Spaceboard insulation which is a sort of pink polystyrene.

Conical FV;

4x2 Spaceboards;

Cutting the staves;

Completed staves;

Loosely assembled;

Lid;

Glued and clamped;

Fitted over the FV (band clamp still on);

let's see how that works, I' using an immersion heater to provide the heat so during the day it won't be on much,

Nice bit of work there N :clap:
You'll have to watch out for your beer overheating also, and if needed, have some way to cool it, a fan perhaps.
