I'd have thought the malt extract that was packed later in the year would have a later bbe date than the one packed earlier. A labeling typo or MM or
their bulk supplier came across a bag in the back of the warehouse?

Hello,

The pack date is really important for us along with batch code so we have complete transparency and traceability right back to Muntons production.
The BB date is shorter than we normally expect which is why it is on offer at the moment;)

The batch codes and BB come directly from the manufacturer and are transferred exactly when we repack. It's not unusual to have multiple batch codes of the same pallet when we receive a bulk delivery.
Cheers,
Rob
