Informal September Get Together

I am in the process of planning a Get Together weekend for a limited number of members who wish to have an ‘informal’ get together Friday 5th to Sunday 7th September. The proposed site is Orcaber Farm, Austwick, North Yorkshire, which is about 15 miles west of Skipton on the A65. The site does have limited places for 5 or 6 caravans/motorhomes and about 10 tents. Prices are reasonable at about £8 per tent pitch and £14 for caravans/motorhomes. There is no per person charge. Prices include electricity hookup for caravans/motorhomes, and there are about 6 electric hook-ups in the tent area at £2 per night if required. The site has toilet and shower facilities (50p for showers), and is located in a very scenic part of North Yorkshire. In addition to the tent/caravan area there is also the possibility of a holiday cottage if someone wanted to come but not camp, located about 50yds away in the farm area. There is a pub in Austwick within easy walking distance about ½ a mile away. The site itself is away from any main road and noise, and we wouldn’t be restricted either, as only the farm is nearby across a country lane. Dogs and children are welcome. The site has a gate and there is a dog walk on the trotting track across the lane.
At the moment nothing has been set in stone, and I am only floating the idea to see if there is enough interest. The dates are the first weekend in September. Friday 5th to Sunday 7th
If there is enough interest I will go ahead and get it booked. We would need a minimum of 10 units to make it worthwhile the owner booking out the whole site. Please post below if interested or pm me.

Bob, I'm no way trying to rain on your parade!
I last went camping with the boy scouts, now I'm 67 I have no intention of repeating the experiences.
I like meeting similar minded people!
What I would dearly love, is to meet at a hostelry for a piss up.
This, I know, would involve taxis, busses, trains and swmbo's, but wouldn't it be a cracker!
I'll just dream on.
