Im culturing yeast for sours and other wild fermented ales. Can i freeze yeast once its been cultured so i can use it again in maybe 1 year or maybe more as ive got a very nice fruity spicys sour smelling beer in primary but i want to grow the yeast and use it for another batch in a couple of years.

From what I hear cold doesn't kill yeast, it makes it dormant, whereas heat kills it. For that reason I don't see why not, but get a second opinion first :p

Hahahaha yeah i need to let it grow first its 225 barley grains to 150ml of wort 10.40 down to 10.10 and has a paint layer of yeast next is to get some malt extract make some wort up and grow that yeast smells sour might have got brett dont know might have got sacc and lactobaccillus

that programme about guiness had there yeast in dry ice (very cold) and only got out some every once in a while so i would say it would last a good long time
