I was in a hurry to get various things sorted out last night and may have inadvertedly put a beer into secondary fermentation too early. After 4 days, there was still a thin layer of yeast on the top and the SG had dropped from 1046 to 1020.
Did I indeed do this too early? Will it be OK or should I pitch some more yeast?

why pitch more yeast surely if its in a secondary prior to bottling or kegging. Just let it finish fermenting and then bottle or keg as normal. We have never put any beer in to a secondary fv

it will be fine. just monitor the gravity as you may have delayed it slightly. the remaining yeast will re colonise the batch very quickly.
